About

Two Lazy T's

Top Quality working horses.

"Using horses that would climb a tree if you pointed them at it"

Our breeding program was started with the following goals in mind- Retaining the quality cowiness and athleticism of the American Quarter Horse, while adding bone and conformation to support the larger framed rancher.

Not all of our horses have draft in them, we sometimes breed selectively straight AQHA as well for top performance foals that may be enrolled in Pink/Ruby/Riata and other incentives.

Our Story

I bought my first horses in 2007. I had the luxury over the years of buying my horses from my best friend Steve Roberts of Redmond, Utah. He would let me take them and try them out first, and make sure it was the right horse. He had a quality stud and quality broodmares, and to this day I am still riding a horse Steve gave me as a weanling. She is ten years old now and going strong. Unfortunately, Steve passed away several years ago and he is greatly missed.

Steve showed me the "ropes" of ranch work and using horses. We traveled all over central Utah to whoever needed help in gathering and sorting cows. When not doing this, we were traveling out to the east desert looking for wild horses and putting in 25 mile days. He was a great teacher and I miss him to this day.

I hope the horses I am breeding and producing would make the old man proud.

I have select broodmares for their unique characteristics and bloodlines and am crossing on Drafts to get a little more size and docile nature.

The ideal working horse for the modern Rancher in my opinion is a 3/4 AQHA 1/4 Draft Cross. Bigger than most but still athletic and cowy. Thanks for visiting my site.
